PTI Defers Its Plan To Challenge The ECP’s Decision In The Peshawar High Court About Intraparty Polls And Symbol
Meanwhile, the PTI has delayed its plan to approach the Peshawar High Court regarding the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision due to the absence of a certified copy of the intra-party elections ruling from the overseeing body.
There were concerns within the party that their petition might face rejection without the necessary document, they added.
According to sources, key leaders within the party, including Hamid Khan, Zafar Ali, and Gohar Khan, were in discussions about the timing and location for filing their petition. They are likely to seek guidance from the party’s founder, Imran Khan.
Barrister Gohar Khan, elected uncontested as PTI chairman in the now invalidated intra-party elections, had announced his intention to contest the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision in the Peshawar High Court.
