Last month, on the day of Eid Miladun Nabi, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), two blasts occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, resulting in numerous casualties. In KP’s Hangu, a blast during the Friday sermon claimed five lives and injured 12 people. Over the past year, Pakistan has experienced a wave of terror attacks, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where militants have been targeting security forces and civilians to disrupt peace.
Despite these challenges, Pakistani security forces continue to conduct operations against terrorists to eliminate terrorism from the country and honor the sacrifices of its soldiers. A report from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) highlighted a significant increase in militant attacks across the country in August, with 99 reported terror incidents, the highest number recorded in a single month since November 2014. These attacks have resulted in 112 deaths and 87 injuries, with security forces personnel and civilians being the primary targets.
