In a tragic incident, at least five people, including two police officers, were injured in a blast targeting a police mobile in Peshawar.
According to details, the explosion occurred on Warsak Road, injuring five individuals who were promptly taken to a local hospital. The bomb disposal squad has also arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
Just last week, an attack was reported at the Marian police station in Bannu, which resulted in the death of a pedestrian. Local police reports indicate that the attack left the Station House Officer (SHO) and four other police officers injured, while a bystander lost their life. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident, prompting police to launch a manhunt for the terrorists responsible.
A day prior to the Bannu attack, a grenade assault was reported at the Mach police station in Nasirabad, with the district headquarters located in Dera Murad Jamali.
According to police, suspects on a motorcycle threw a hand grenade onto the roof of the police station before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this attack.
Authorities have launched investigations into both incidents to identify and apprehend those responsible for these acts of violence.
