Female PIA Manager Accused of Harassing Flight Attendant

Female PIA Manager Accused of Harassing Flight Attendant:

A flight manager on a trip from Karachi to Toronto is accused of harassing a female flight attendant from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

The flight attendant described four significant claims in an email complaint filed against the management.

A three-member team made to investigate the case, comprising a DGM Security, a female assistant manager, and the in-charge SEC Jinnah International Airport.

After flight attendant Ufaq Shah accused her of harassment, the committee questioned the accused manager, Maimona Feroz.

The claims against Feroz included using improper language and acting in an unpleasant manner during the international flight.

As per the email from Shah, Feroz threatened to demote her immediately and transfer her to the training center as punishment.

She also criticized Shah’s uniform and other issues in front of passengers and colleagues.

The email also alleged that the manager had ignored grooming violations of Shah’s sister, who was also a flight attendant on the same aircraft.

Another attendant had also complained about the female officer’s behavior.

As part of the investigation, the committee also questioned the second concerned flight attendant.

Also, The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) advised not to hire the female officer for any crucial positions for the next five years due to her behavioral concerns.

According to a PIA representative:

The inquiry committee will deliver its conclusion on March 29th (Wednesday).

And they will take legal action against the responsible party.
