A terrorist attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has resulted in the death of one FC official and left three others injured. The incident took place at an FC checkpoint in the Marghan Tanga area of central Kurram, where armed terrorists launched a surprise assault using heavy and automatic weapons.
During the attack, Naik Maib Zada, an FC soldier, was killed. The injured soldiers—Lance Naik Liaqat, Lance Naik Ishtiaq, and Lance Naik Masood—were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. In response to the assault, security forces engaged with the attackers, who were eventually forced to retreat from the area.
According to police sources, such attacks on security checkpoints and government property in central Kurram have been a persistent issue over the past few months. The ongoing violence highlights the volatile security situation in the region.
