Fawad Chaudhry
Former Pakistani minister Fawad Chaudhry has once again taken a sarcastic jab at India-based singer and musician Adnan Sami, this time over Sami’s recent social media post showcasing his newly customized in-ear monitors featuring the Indian flag. The incident has stirred up another round of exchanges between the two public figures, reflecting the ongoing tension and rivalry between them.
Adnan Sami, who originally hails from Pakistan but renounced his Pakistani citizenship in 2016 to settle in Mumbai, India, shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) where he unveiled his specially designed in-ear monitors.
These monitors, created by the US-based company Ultimate Ears Pro, were customized to feature the Indian flag—a design choice made at Sami’s personal request for his live performances across India. Sami proudly wrote in his post, “Just received my customized ‘In Ear Monitors’ from @ultimateearspro in USA for my live concerts! These are my 2nd pair & they sound incredible… They made this design with the Indian flag, especially upon my request.”
In response, Fawad Chaudhry took to social media with his signature mocking tone, targeting Sami’s display of patriotism. Chaudhry’s sarcastic reply read, “Order some brain as well, Ears pro is too little for you,” implying that the musician’s efforts to demonstrate his allegiance to India were excessive and misguided.
This recent exchange is not the first time Fawad Chaudhry has targeted Adnan Sami publicly. Just last month, amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Chaudhry had taken another swipe at Sami after the Indian government ordered all Pakistani citizens to leave India.
In his usual mocking style, Chaudhry questioned Sami’s status by tweeting, “What about Adnan Sami?” drawing attention to Sami’s controversial position.
Adnan Sami did not remain silent in the face of these provocations. In a pointed rebuttal, Sami called Chaudhry an “illiterate idiot” and questioned his qualifications as a former minister. Sami wrote, “To think that you were Minister of (Mis) Information and have no knowledge of any information… And you were Minister of Science?” This retort highlighted Sami’s disdain for Chaudhry’s public remarks and served as a sharp critique of his credentials.
The ongoing social media spat between the two personalities continues to reflect the deep political and personal divides that exist, often spilling over into public discourse. Both figures, known for their outspoken personalities, remain active in using social platforms to air their disagreements, further fueling public interest and debate.
