Delivery Boy

In a tragic incident in Punjab’s Faisalabad district, a delivery boy was allegedly shot dead by a customer following a dispute over payment for the pizza he had delivered, as reported by the police. The victim, identified as Kashif, met a tragic end while carrying out his job.

The details of the incident were documented in a First Information Report (FIR) filed at the Saddar police station based on the complaint filed by the victim’s brother. The FIR invoked Section 302 (Punishment of qatl-i-amd) and Section 34 (Acts done by several persons In furtherance of common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code, indicating the seriousness of the alleged crime.

According to the FIR, Kashif delivered a pizza to a residence in Faisal Town, where three unidentified suspects reportedly received the order. The situation took a dark turn when Kashif requested payment for the delivered order. A verbal exchange ensued, leading to an altercation.

The complainant, the victim’s brother, provided an account of the tragic confrontation, stating, “When my brother asked for money, they got in a verbal exchange with him, on which I, and my cousin attempted to stop them. It was then when one of the suspects pointed a pistol at my brother and shot him in the chest.”

Following the alleged shooting, the assailants swiftly fled the scene, leaving Kashif fatally wounded. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of delivery personnel who perform their duties in various localities.

The FIR seeks justice for the slain delivery boy, and investigations are likely underway to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice. The shocking incident highlights the vulnerability of service industry workers, emphasizing the need for increased security measures and public awareness regarding the consequences of resorting to violence.
