Electoral Commission Reduces Six KP Seats in New Delimitation

KP Seats

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reduced six assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in its new delimitation, on Thursday.

In a statement, a spokesperson for JUI-F mentioned that the election commission’s actions have exacerbated the sense of deprivation in KP. Consequently, JUI-F has opted to establish a provincial-level legal team to challenge the new delimitations.

Moreover, the religious-political party has declared its intent to engage in a legal battle to reinstate the assembly seats for KP. The spokesperson placed the blame on the ECP for creating an atmosphere of uncertainty in the country.
