ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) received information about the development of a Result Compilation System, today. This system enables the rapid transmission of provisional results from the presiding officer to the returning officer through a mobile app.
Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja presided over a session. During this session, an ECP representative conveyed that the recently introduced Result Compilation System would empower Returning Officers.
These officers would be empowered to swiftly compile provisional results while ensuring accurate vote statistics.
The Election Commission’s full confidence in the system’s performance stemmed from its thorough Mock Exercise. This exercise was conducted to verify the functionality of the system.
The meeting involved an examination of the developments in constituencies. In this context, the Election Commission dispatched essential letters. These letters were sent to provincial governments and the Statistics Department.
Discussions with relevant institutions took place. These institutions were then reminded via phone Today.
The purpose of this reminder was to prompt them to provide the necessary maps and data to the Election Commission. Also, the provision of this information would assist the Commission in promptly initiating the constituency process.
