During a visit to Gambia, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in discussions with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, affirming their commitment to fortify the bonds between their nations.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dar convened with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, focusing on bolstering bilateral relations and exploring collaborative opportunities in trade and energy sectors. Both leaders pledged to enhance cooperation across various domains.
Dar also congratulated Baku on being designated as the host for COP29. In a recent statement at the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Banjul, Dar stressed the imperative of holding Israel accountable for its war crimes. He advocated for transparency, security, and the implementation of Resolution 2728 by the Security Council, advocating for the repatriation of displaced Palestinians and the cessation of hostilities in Gaza.
Dar urged for the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and condemned Israel’s inhumane siege on the region. He voiced deep concerns over the persistent Israeli aggression against Palestinians, calling for decisive action to address the situation. Additionally, Dar commended the efforts of the Saudi government, particularly as the former head of the assembly.
