Rocket Attack
KASHMORE: In a tragic incident, at least three individuals lost their lives and four others sustained injuries following a dacoit-initiated rocket attack in the Katcha area of Kashmore.
The incident unfolded in the Gailpur locality of Katcha, where dacoits launched a rocket assault on a residential property, resulting in the fatalities and injuries mentioned.
Police authorities confirmed that the wounded individuals have been promptly transferred to a hospital in Larkana, with two of them currently in critical condition.
This unfortunate event follows another shocking attack in Ghotki, where dacoits targeted a police check post, resulting in the martyrdom of one policeman and the abduction of two others.
Responding swiftly, law enforcement agencies engaged in an operation against the dacoits, resulting in the neutralization of one of the perpetrators identified as Amanullah, alias Amanu Sandrani.
Amanullah was implicated in multiple ransom cases and was also linked to the killing of Professor Ajmal Sawand.
A police spokesperson disclosed that a substantial deployment of police and ranger personnel was dispatched to the scene of the incident to address the situation effectively.
Unfortunately, incidents of dacoity and violence have been on the rise in the region. On April 6, a group of dacoits targeted a police picket in Khairpur, where they seized valuable possessions from the policemen, including weapons, ammunition, cash, and motorcycles.
The dacoits subjected the law enforcement officers to hostage-taking and inflicted physical harm on one of them during the confrontation.
