After a suicide attack on a mosque in Peshawar stunned the country, a number of leaders from all political parties denounced the terrorist atrocity and expressed condolences to the victims.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, also visited Peshawar shortly after Monday’s heinous incident and sent a statement on Twitter.

PM shehbaz Tweeted:
” While the pain of the grieving families cannot be described in words, I express my heartfelt condolences & most sincere sympathies. My message to the perpetrators of today’s despicable incident is that you can’t underestimate the resolve of our people.”
Dr. Arif Alvi said:
“I strongly condemn the heinous & cowardly blast that has taken place in Peshawar mosque. The perpetrators will be found and punished. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون Condolences to families who have lost an innocent member & prayers for the injured. Terrorism must be buried forever.”
While condemning the suicide attack, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that the federal government was assisting the KP administration in its inquiry into the tragic blast. He asserted that a thorough inquiry into the incident was ongoing.
Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Tweeted:
“Strongly condemn the horrendous terrorist incident in #Peshawar. Deeply saddened at the loss of innocent lives; my heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Such cowardly acts will not deter our resolve against acts of terrorism in Pakistan.”
Imran Khan stated:
” Strongly condemn the terrorist suicide attack in police lines mosque Peshawar during prayers. My prayers & condolences go to victims families. It is imperative we improve our intelligence gathering & properly equip our police forces to combat the growing threat of terrorism.”
Maryam Nawaz, senior vice president of the PML-N, condemned the terrorist attack in Peshawar in “strongest words” and extended condolences to the martyrs’ families.
In a tweet, JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged for all Americans to work together to resist terrorism, calling the attack on the mosque and its attendance an “extreme form of savagery.”
The blast, according to Shireen Mazari, was caused by “another intelligence failure.”

“Our police are frontline defenders against terrorists, especially in urban areas, and need better resources, including equipment.”
The incident in the provincial capital’s high-security zone must be “taken seriously”, according to Amir Maqam, the prime minister’s assistant.
Suicide Blast In Peshawar Mosque

The suicide attacker was in the front row during the prayers when he blew himself up, hurting hundreds of worshippers giving Zohr prayers.
Shafi Ullah Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar, stated 44 worshippers were killed.

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the Peshawar suicide bombing.
During the Zohr prayers, the suicide attacker was in the mosque’s front row. He blew himself up, killing two policemen and injuring hundreds of worshippers giving Zohr prayers.
