Oslo, Norway: Pakistani cricketer Imam-ul-Haq’s wedding celebrations kicked off with a vibrant mehndi event in Norway on Tuesday.
Following the mehndi celebration in Norway, the wedding events are scheduled to take place in Lahore on November 23. The nikah ceremony is slated for Saturday (November 25), with the valima reception following on November 26.
The 27-year-old cricket star is getting married with Anmol Mehmood following his return from the World Cup 2023 campaign.
Imam recently participated in the ICC’s flagship tournament held in India as part of the national squad.
Details of Anmol’s stunning bridal attire surfaced, showcasing her adorned in a lavish outfit by a local brand during the mehndi ceremony.
Her attire boasted a richly embellished deep red and dull gold gharara and shirt, accentuated with hints of orange and purple for added vibrancy.
Pictures and videos capturing the picturesque setting somewhere in Scandinavia were shared on Anmol’s official Instagram account.
The designer also shared a few glimpses of the bride on their Instagram page, captioned “Imam ki Anmol” (Imam’s Anmol), tagging both the cricketer and his soon-to-be wife.
Reports suggest that the festivities will commence with a qawwali night on November 23, although the performing group’s identity remains under wraps. For the big day, the left-handed batter is expected to attire a Prince coat.
Anticipated attendees at the joyous occasion include cricketing luminaries like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, and other members of the national team. Invitations will also extend to former players and management personnel.
Imamul Haq is anticipated to miss the initial phase of the camp for Australia’s Test tour and will join later. The camp is scheduled until November 28 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, with the team departing on November 30 from Lahore.
