Crackdown initiated against PTI workers to ensure law and order

LAHORE: Following the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana criminal case, authorities in Punjab have launched a comprehensive crackdown on PTI workers and leaders to ensure law and order in the province.

As part of the operation, police conducted raids on the residences of PTI workers and leaders in various areas of Lahore and other cities. Operation Police is leading the crackdown to establish control over law and order on the streets. It aims to prevent any potential untoward incidents due to the prevailing political situation.

The Investigation and CIA police units are actively involved in carrying out the raids at the houses of PTI activists and influential party members. The police have asserted that any form of protest by PTI supporters will be promptly dealt with. Those involved will be detained immediately.

To support their efforts, the Lahore Police have been provided with lists of PTI workers and leaders, which can aid in swiftly identifying and addressing any instances of unrest. The aim is to maintain peace and stability during this period of heightened political tension.

PTI Leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi Condemns The Arrest Of Imran Khan

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, a prominent political leader of PTI vehemently condemned the arrest of Imran Khan. He stated that the arrest was nothing but a manifestation of political revenge orchestrated by the ruling government. Qureshi accused the government of misusing state institutions to target their political opponents and suppress dissenting voices.

According to Qureshi, the decision to arrest Imran Khan was biased and discriminatory. He argued that the timing of the arrest raised suspicions about the government’s intentions.

Qureshi further emphasized that the arrest of Imran Khan was a blow to democratic principles in the country. He called for an independent investigation into the matter. He further expressed concern that the arrest might set a dangerous precedent of using state power for political gains.
