Arrest Warrants
On Monday, an accountability court in Islamabad approved the issuance of arrest warrants for PTI Chief Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case and the £190 million case. Judge Mohammad Bashir, overseeing the hearing, granted approval following an application by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking Khan’s arrest.
Judge Bashir directed the jail superintendent to take necessary measures for the compliance of the warrants. Sources indicated that NAB intends to promptly arrest Khan, with a team, including investigation officers, heading to Adiala jail to ensure compliance with the warrants.

In a related development, former First Lady Bushra Begum was summoned by NAB in the £190 million case, and her arrest is reportedly imminent. Bushra was called to the NAB office in G-6, Islamabad, at 2 pm. Farhat Shahzadi, a former close aide of Bushra, has also been summoned in the same case on the same day.
Imran Khan, the former prime minister, is presently detained in Adiala jail since his arrest from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on August 5. He was transferred to Adiala jail on September 26 from Attock jail, where he was initially held after his arrest.
