ISLAMABAD: According to the reports, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted separate operations in Balochistan over the last 24 hours, resulting in the elimination of eight terrorists.
According to the spokesperson, the CTD conducted a raid on a house in Basima. Basima is a town and tehsil headquarters located in the Washuk district, and the operation was carried out based on a tipoff.
The terrorists initiated gunfire upon the law enforcers during the operation. This triggered a prolonged gun battle, as reported by the spokesperson.
Consequently, the law enforcement forces managed to eliminate five of these terrorists. However, three others were able to escape from the scene.
During their search of the hideout premises, the CTD successfully confiscated a substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition. They are currently in the process of confirming the identities of the deceased terrorists.
In a separate operation conducted in Quetta, the CTD spokesperson disclosed that they safely rescued a child. Additionally, they eliminated three abductors, who were identified as members of an outlawed organization.
The CTD executed this operation after the terrorists had kidnapped the child for ransom. They also seized arms and ammunition from the terrorists’ hideout.
