Sections of attempted murder, breaking bones of most parts of body added to FIR
ISLAMABAD: The medical team at Lahore General Hospital has deemed the next 24 hours as crucial for the teenage domestic worker who was subjected to torture by the administrative officer of Islamabad Judicial Complex and his wife.
Rizwana, a 15-year-old, has been receiving treatment at the General Hospital for a critical condition for a week now.
Today, the 12-member medical board will convene once more to conduct a medical examination.
Her condition showed improvement during the night, but it took a worrisome turn in the morning.
The medical board will reassess Rizwana’s situation during their meeting today.
The principal of LGH stated that they would utilize various procedures to treat the infection in Rizwana’s lungs. He emphasized that the next 24 hours were crucial for the girl’s life.
The doctor mentioned that if her condition does not improve, they will transfer Rizwana to a ventilator.
He also added that her health would improve if they can maintain a balance for five to six days.
Professor Zafar explained that the team of doctors would be making important decisions regarding her treatment.
The FIR amended with additional sections
Upon receiving Rizwana’s medical report, the FIR (First Information Report) for the case at Islamabad’s Hamak police station has been updated with new provisions.
The FIR now includes sections related to attempted murder and causing fractures in multiple parts of the body.
The alleged wife of the civil judge has secured interim bail from the Lahore High Court, valid until August 1st.

Meanwhile, according to the hospital principal, the teenage girl has developed a lung infection, leading to breathing difficulties.
An emergency meeting of the 12-member medical board, responsible for her case, has been convened to make important decisions.
