Edhi Volunteers
KARACHI: In a distressing incident, Edhi volunteers in Karachi became victims of street crime on Sunday. Armed muggers targeted them and forcibly snatched their valuables.
The incident occurred near the Mochko police station, where three armed individuals on two motorcycles surrounded an Edhi ambulance.

The daring dacoits brandished firearms and accosted the Edhi volunteers, demanding cash and mobile phones. Under the threat of the gunmen, the volunteers had no choice but to comply with their demands.
After successfully robbing the Edhi team, the muggers hastily fled the scene, leaving the volunteers shaken by the traumatic experience.
This incident highlights the growing issue of street crime in Karachi, where even charitable organizations like Edhi are not immune to the risks posed by armed criminals.
The authorities are urged to take immediate measures to enhance security and curb such criminal activities, ensuring the safety of citizens and volunteers who serve the community selflessly.
UNSC Support For Action On Hamas Eludes US And Israel; Russia Promotes Wider Perspective
Moreover,
The United States expressed disappointment on Sunday as the United Nations Security Council failed to unanimously condemn the Hamas attack on Israel.
Instead, Russia urged a broader view of the situation, refraining from denouncing the powerful blow by the Palestinian resistance group.
Vassily Nebenzia, the Russian ambassador to the United Nations, emphasized the need to immediately stop the fighting, implement a ceasefire, and engage in meaningful negotiations, as previously urged by the Security Council.
While many members of the UN Security Council denounced Hamas for its extensive assault on Israel, the United States lamented the absence of unanimity.
