The two engaged in a fistfight during a live show
ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, the Islamabad Capital Police filed a first information report against PTI leader Sher Afzal Khan Marwat based on a complaint lodged by PML-N leader Senator Afnan Ullah Khan.
The Aabpara Police Station filed an FIR under Section 352 (Punishment for assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation) and Section 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The ICT stated that Khan had made a request to file an FIR against the PTI leader due to an assault that occurred during a live show.
On September 28, Marwat and Khan initiated a physical altercation during a talk show broadcasted on a private news channel.
The confrontation began with harsh exchanges of words between the PTI leader and PML-N’s Khan during the live TV show, which escalated into a full-fledged brawl.
Video footage of the altercation depicted Marwat rising from his seat and slapping Senator Khan. Subsequently, they engaged in a physical fight, exchanging kicks and punches on the program’s set.
