LAHORE / ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, submitted a petition to the Lahore High Court. She is challenging the potential for her arrest and requesting information regarding all cases, including undisclosed ones.
Advocate Mushtaq Ahmad Mohal filed a petition. The petition asserts that petitioner husband was unlawfully removed from the office of the prime minister. Since then, both the petitioner and her family members have faced political victimization initiated by the federal and provincial governments.
The petition accuses various departments and law enforcement agencies of lodging multiple false and baseless FIRs against Bushra bibi and her husband. These actions are allegedly at the governments’ behest and with malicious intent.
Furthermore, the petition contends that the respondents, including the FIA, NAB, police, and ACE, have maintained secrecy regarding these FIRs. They do so to prevent the petitioner from seeking pre-arrest bail through the courts.
The petition argues that the respondents’ actions, involving the concealment of cases from the petitioner, are illegal, unlawful, and infringe upon fundamental rights.
Consequently, the petition requests the court to declare the respondents’ actions as illegal.
