Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Launches Heli Safari Service for Shandur Polo Festival

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority has introduced a heli safari service for the Shandur Polo Festival. KP Tourism and Culture Advisor Zahid Chanzeb expressed that the heli service aims to promote the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

To operationalize the heli service, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority DG Barkatullah Marwat signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Petronet Aviation.

Three distinct packages are now available, offering breathtaking aerial views and destinations in the Chitral region:

Heli Safari Packages:

Package 1: Chitral Airport, Kailash Valley, Lowari Tunnel

  • This package provides an aerial tour of the scenic Kailash Valley and the engineering marvel of the Lowari Tunnel.

Package 2: Chitral Airport, Trichmir Peak

  • Tourists can enjoy stunning views of the majestic Trichmir Peak, the highest mountain in the Hindu Kush range.

Package 3: Chitral Airport, Trich Mir, Qaqalisht Meadows

  • This package combines the grandeur of Trich Mir with the serene beauty of Qaqlasht Meadows.

Package 4: Chitral Airport to Shandur Polo Festival

  • This direct helicopter service to the Shandur Polo Festival offers an unparalleled view of the world’s highest polo ground and vibrant festivities.

These heli safari packages are designed to provide a unique and memorable experience, showcasing the natural and cultural richness of the Chitral region.

The partnership between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority and Petronet Aviation demonstrates a collaborative effort to enhance tourism infrastructure and services in the region.
