Government Declares March 21st and 22nd as Public Holidays

Public Holidays

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi district administration has declared March 21st and 22nd as public holidays across the city in anticipation of the Pakistan Day Parade scheduled for March 23rd.

In an official notification issued by the DC Rawalpindi, it was announced that all public and private educational institutions, as well as offices, will remain closed during this period.

However, it was clarified that this holiday declaration will not affect the SSC-1 Annual Examination conducted by BISE Rawalpindi.

Preparations for Pakistan’s upcoming Pakistan Day parade on March 23rd are underway, promising a lively celebration of the nation’s rich heritage and resilience.

Citizens from all corners of the country are actively engaged in ensuring a captivating showcase of Pakistan’s diverse culture during the festivities.

According to the notification issued by Rawalpindi DC Hassan Waqar Cheema, several restrictions have been imposed within the limits of Rawalpindi Revenue until March 22nd.

These include a ban on activities such as flying kites, laser lights, aerial firing, the use of drone cameras, and flying pigeons.

These measures have been implemented as part of security protocols ahead of Pakistan Day, with section 144 being imposed to enforce these regulations.

The notification warns that violators will face strict legal action under section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

These measures aim to ensure the safety and security of citizens and to maintain order during the Pakistan Day celebrations.

As the nation gears up to commemorate Pakistan Day with pride and enthusiasm, these arrangements underscore the commitment of the authorities to facilitate peaceful and joyous celebrations while prioritizing public safety and security.
