In a tragic incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported that a security forces vehicle was targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED), resulting in the martyrdom of seven soldiers, including Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas.
Among the fallen heroes, Captain Faraz, aged 26 and from Kasur, was slated to marry on June 19, 2024, leaving a profound void not only in his family but also in the hearts of the nation.
The sacrifice extends to Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, aged 50, from Skardu, who served with unwavering dedication for 31 years, leaving behind a grieving family of a wife, two sons, and five daughters.
Lance Naik Hussain Ali Khan, aged 36, from Ghazar, dedicated 14 years to Pakistan’s service, displaying remarkable valor and sacrifice.
Similarly, Sepoy Manzoor, aged 27, from Gilgit, served for six years, leaving behind a wife and three daughters, symbolizing the profound sacrifice borne by soldiers’ families.
Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, aged 34, from Ganche, devoted 13 years to safeguarding the nation, survived by his wife, two daughters, and two sons.
Sepoy Asadullah, aged 33, from Multan, served for 14 years, leaving behind a wife and son. Sepoy Rashid Mehmood, aged 31, from Rawalpindi, served for 13 years, survived by grieving parents and siblings.
The ISPR assured that the area is being sanitized to eliminate any terrorists, and the perpetrators of this heinous act will face justice.
