ISLAMABAD: The Afghan Taliban forces have reportedly made an attempt to construct a checkpoint in a restricted location along the Torkham border with Pakistan.
Upon receiving orders to halt, the forces opened fire, prompting a robust response from the Pakistan Army.
The Afghan forces purportedly employed small arms to initiate fire against Pakistan Army posts.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported during the operation.
It’s worth noting that in February of this year, an exchange of fire occurred between Pakistan and Afghan border forces. It resulted in a suspension of all public and private activities as well as trade within Pakistan’s borders.
