COAS attends funeral prayers for soldiers who died in a helicopter crash

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday that Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa went to the funeral prayers of Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali and Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, who died in the Balochistan helicopter crash.

Balochistan Governor Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial ministers, and many civil and military officials, including relatives of the martyrs, attended the funeral.

The military’s media arm says that the COAS visited the families of Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali, Brig Muhammad Khalid, and Lt Col Laiq Baig Mirza, all of whom died at Ziarat.

The bodies of the people who died in the helicopter crash were brought to Rawalpindi. At 5:30 p.m. today, the Central Namaz-e-Janaza for the three martyrs will be held at the Army Graveyard in Rawalpindi.

The ISPR also said that the people who died will be buried with full military honors.
