Military Ties
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement on Wednesday, announcing that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir is currently on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The primary objective of this visit is to bolster military-to-military ties and defense collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
During the trip, the army chief held meetings with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, the defense minister, first deputy minister, and the chief of general staff, as well as the commander of the Azerbaijan Air Force.
The political and military leadership of Azerbaijan expressed their commitment to elevating mutual cooperation between the two states and their armed forces to a new level, as confirmed by the military’s media wing.
The ISPR also noted, “Azerbaijan’s political and military leadership recognized the ongoing support from Pakistan.”
At the General Staff Headquarters, COAS Gen Munir received a warm welcome and a Guard of Honour. Additionally, during the visit, the army chief laid a floral wreath at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
Throughout his meetings with the leaders of Azerbaijan, the army chief placed significant emphasis on enhancing cooperation in the areas of defense and training. He also praised the high morale and exceptional level of operational readiness displayed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
1st Day Of November: Pakistan Deports Over 7000 Illegal Afghan Refugees From Torkham Border

PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD: On the inaugural day of the nationwide campaign to deport illegal immigrants following the October 31 deadline, Pakistan deported over 7000 illegal Afghan refugees on November 1.
A total of 7,380 undocumented individuals, predominantly Afghans, were registered at the Landikotal holding camp. They were subsequently repatriated to their home country via the Torkham border, connecting Pakistan with landlocked Afghanistan.
