Ayesha Jahanzeb Files for Khula from Husband Haris Ali

Ayesha Jahanzeb

Renowned TV anchor Ayesha Jahanzeb has announced her decision to file for khula from her husband, Haris Ali. This significant development was revealed during her recent appearance in court, where she provided a statement regarding her husband’s bail application.

During the court proceedings before Additional Sessions Judge Arshad Mahmood, Jahanzeb detailed the circumstances leading to her decision.

She disclosed that an agreement had been reached with family dignitaries concerning the custody of their children. This understanding influenced her stance on the bail matter, leading her to not object to her husband’s bail.

Expressing her profound disappointment with the situation, Jahanzeb stated, “What has happened is very cruel and should not happen to any woman.

However, I accept the decision made by the dignitaries and choose not to pursue the case further to the extent of bail.” Her statement highlights the emotional turmoil she has endured but also reflects her commitment to honoring the family agreement.

Judge Mahmood, upon hearing Jahanzeb’s statements, sought to confirm whether the reconciliation was voluntary.

Jahanzeb affirmed her willingness to abide by the agreement despite the challenging circumstances. Her confirmation played a crucial role in the court’s decision to grant bail to Haris Ali.

Following her testimony, the court approved the bail for Haris Ali. The Sarwar Road police station had previously registered a case against Ali in connection with the matter, marking a significant legal development in their ongoing dispute.

In a subsequent statement to Sama, Jahanzeb elaborated on her intentions moving forward. She confirmed her plan to pursue khula and file for the custody of her children.

Jahanzeb emphasized that the agreement with the family dignitaries includes a provision for not pursuing legal action regarding the handover of the children.

She stated that cohabitation with her husband has become untenable, underscoring the breakdown of their marital relationship.

Jahanzeb’s lawyer corroborated her statements, indicating that the intervention of family dignitaries has facilitated a resolution regarding the children’s custody. This resolution has allowed the family to forego further court proceedings on the matter, aiming to resolve the custody issue amicably.

This development in Ayesha Jahanzeb’s personal life has garnered significant attention, reflecting the complexities and challenges faced by individuals navigating marital disputes.

Her decision to seek khula and prioritize the well-being of her children underscores her resilience and determination to move forward despite the adversities.

The case continues to unfold, with many looking to see how this resolution impacts the broader context of familial and legal dynamics in such matters.
