Economic Growth
The military’s top brass resolved on Thursday to provide “wholehearted” assistance to the government in combating all illegal activities that hinder economic growth, stability, and investor confidence.
This resolution was expressed during the 259th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

The military leadership also reiterated its “full support” for ongoing efforts for socioeconomic growth under the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s umbrella, as stated by the military’s media affairs wing.
The Inter-Services Public Relations statement emphasized the need for the rapid development of the economic potential of newly merged districts (NMDs) and border districts of Balochistan to achieve sustainable peace and growth.
This resolution follows Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir’s assurance to the business community of fostering transparency in dollar exchange and interbank rates during a meeting at the Lahore Corps headquarters.
The COAS had revealed the formation of task forces focused on economic matters and different sectors to enhance economic decision-making.
Authorities introduced structural reforms in the exchange companies’ sector to enhance public services, transparency, and competitiveness.
It also tightened their grip on exchange companies, pursuing illegal currency merchants nationwide.
Commitment to Uphold and Defend Our Country’s Sovereignty
The military leadership today resolved to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all forms of direct and indirect threats,” stated the ISPR.
The statement emphasized that attempts by propagandists to create divisions between state institutions and the public would result in further humiliation. The forum discussed the prevailing geo-strategic environment, national security challenges, and their strategy for addressing evolving threats.
The military leadership reaffirmed its commitment to deal with terrorists and their supporters, acting on behalf of hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan. COAS Munir stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and motivation during operations and achieving excellence in training.
