Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, speaking at the Pakistan Air Force passing out parade, underscored the military’s adherence to constitutional boundaries and urged others to prioritize upholding the Constitution.
He emphasized that those disregarding these limits cannot criticize others and pointed to Article 19, which delineates freedom of expression boundaries.
General Munir acknowledged the changing landscape of aerial warfare due to advancements like artificial intelligence and quantum computing. He highlighted the critical role of a strong air force in protecting national sovereignty, citing the PAF’s bravery during the February 2019 incident as exemplary.
Addressing global issues, he lamented civilian casualties in conflicts like Gaza and condemned India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Kashmiri freedom.
General Munir praised the cadets as the nation’s hope and emphasized their role in upholding honor and dignity. He urged them to embody qualities like character, courage, and competence, setting high standards for themselves and their institution.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of defending the nation’s honor and the legacy of professionalism and valor, urging cadets to emulate national heroes and remain loyal to Pakistan.
