Students at Air University gathered on Wednesday to participate in a peace walk, demonstrating their solidarity with the victims of the recent Jaffar Express train attack. The event aimed to condemn the tragic incident and send a strong message against terrorism, reinforcing the students’ commitment to peace and resilience.
The peace walk was organized by the Shaoor Society in collaboration with the university’s Corporate Social Responsibility Society. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, along with faculty members who joined to express their support.
Participants carried banners with powerful messages, including “March 11 – A Black Day,” “We Stand United,” and “Terror Won’t Stop Our Journey.” These slogans reflected the determination of the students to reject violence and stand together in the face of adversity.
Throughout the event, students voiced their concerns over the growing incidents of terrorism and the impact such attacks have on innocent lives. Many called for strict measures to bring the perpetrators of the Jaffar Express attack to justice, emphasizing the need for a secure and peaceful society.
The gathering served as a reminder that the younger generation plays a crucial role in promoting harmony and countering extremism.
Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of unity in times of crisis, urging students to continue raising awareness about the consequences of violence.
They emphasized that acts of terrorism should never be allowed to instill fear or disrupt the nation’s progress. The students reaffirmed their commitment to fostering an environment where peace prevails over fear and hatred.
The walk concluded with a moment of silence to honor the victims of the attack. Participants expressed hope that such tragedies would not be repeated and stressed the significance of remaining united in the fight against terrorism.
