In an endeavor to ensure the safety and well-being of Pakistani students stranded in Kyrgyzstan, 205 students arrived in Karachi via a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, PK-6260.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah personally greeted the students at Karachi airport, underscoring the Sindh government’s ongoing efforts in coordinating their return.

“The travel from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan was facilitated by the provincial government,” he affirmed, expressing appreciation for the successful and secure repatriation of the students, comprising 55 girls and 150 boys.

Among the 205 returning students, 99 hail from Karachi, with the remainder from various districts across Sindh. The students acknowledged the swift action taken to bring them back, crediting the immediate directives issued by the CM.

Despite the successful return of these students, Shah noted that 180 more students, including six who were injured, remain in Kyrgyzstan. He assured that efforts are in progress to arrange a special flight for their repatriation. “I am endeavoring to organize a special flight for them,” he assured.

The CM also referenced the instruction from PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, urging arrangements for the students’ return. Throughout the process, the Sindh government maintained communication with the parents of the stranded students, providing regular updates and assistance.

Families and communities of the returned students expressed gratitude toward CM Shah for his proactive measures. The safe return of the students signifies a notable achievement for the Sindh government, underscoring their commitment to the welfare of Pakistani citizens abroad.
