KARACHI: The Ministry of Hajj is expediting its efforts to finalize the Hajj Policy for 2025, with an announcement anticipated next month, according to the news.
Sources familiar with the process indicate that the new policy will likely be unveiled in September. The ministry is contemplating substantial revisions to both the private Hajj and government Hajj scheme quotas, aiming to enhance the overall experience for pilgrims.
In response to feedback from past Hajj seasons, the ministry is also considering the introduction of a revised policy for long-term and short-term Hajj schemes.
These changes are being driven by complaints from pilgrims about previous arrangements, with the goal of addressing these issues and offering improved facilities in the upcoming policy.
Additionally, the ministry plans to continue the immigration arrangements under the Road to Makkah project at Karachi and Islamabad airports. There is also a request to extend these arrangements to Lahore Airport for the next Hajj season, reflecting a commitment to streamline the process and accommodate a larger number of pilgrims.
The official announcement of the Hajj Policy 2025 is eagerly awaited, and the upcoming changes are expected to significantly impact the pilgrimage experience for many.
