ISLAMABAD: A 10-year-old girl who was employed as a domestic worker in the residence of a prominent individual in Khairpur died under mysterious circumstances.
The incident occurred in the Ranipur, tehsil of Khairpur. Individuals allegedly buried a child without subjecting her to a post-mortem examination.
Senior Superintendent of Police Khairpur has announced the arrest of the primary suspect, Asad Shah, and assured that they will apprehend other individuals soon. The judicial magistrate will oversee the exhumation of the body tomorrow.

Reports indicate that the individuals circulated the viral video before burying the child along with a CCTV video from the house. Nevertheless, the burial proceeded as planned.
Under apparent duress, the parents of the child disclosed that their daughter was working at the residence of a well-known individual referred to as a ‘musrhid’. They also said that she had passed away due to an illness.
Girl’s parents revealed that dire economic circumstances had compelled them to entrust their child to the care of this influential individual.
They also disclosed that their daughter had been unwell for four days prior to her demise.
Taking cognizance of the gravity of the situation, SSP Khairpur promptly initiated an inquiry by establishing a dedicated committee to investigate the incident.
