Bluish-Grey Uniform to Replace Current Design
The Punjab Police have decided to change the uniform of Lahore traffic wardens again.
The latest revision comes less than one year after the current uniform was introduced.
Traffic wardens will stop wearing white shirts with blue trousers.
They will instead receive a new bluish-grey uniform.
The decision marks another major change to the Lahore Traffic Police dress code.
Previous Uniform Cost Rs5,000 Per Warden
The current uniform was introduced during the tenure of former Chief Traffic Officer Athar Waheed.
Each traffic warden received Rs5,000 to purchase the revised clothing.
However, police authorities have now decided to replace that design.
The reasons behind the latest change have not yet been officially disclosed.
Police sources said the matter was discussed during a senior logistics meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Inspector General of Logistics and Procurement.
Senior officials from logistics, resource management and the Punjab Highway Patrol also attended.
Punjab Highway Patrol to Retain Existing Design
The Punjab Highway Patrol will continue using its existing uniform pattern.
However, officers and personnel will receive standardised uniforms under the new arrangements.
The decision aims to create greater consistency in dress standards across the department.
Further details about the cost, distribution schedule and launch date have not been announced.
