Singer Shares Personal Message With Fans
Katy Perry has shared a sweet personal moment with Justin Trudeau in a new Instagram montage.
The 41-year-old pop star posted the video on Sunday, June 28. The montage was set to her new song, Watch It Burn. It featured short clips from her recent life, including several moments with the former Canadian Prime Minister.
Perry and Trudeau, 54, have reportedly been dating since late 2025. Their relationship has drawn public attention in recent months. The new video now appears to show Perry embracing a fresh and more confident chapter in her life.
Over the montage, Perry added the text, โIโm gonna get the life I deserve because I finally put myself FIRST.โ The line appeared to reflect the message of her new song.
Justin Trudeau Appears in Special Moments
The video included multiple clips of Perry and Trudeau together. One clip showed the couple at the World Cup opening match in the United States earlier this month. Perry also performed at the event.
Another clip showed the pair walking hand-in-hand at the premiere of her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour โ Live from Paris. The event marked their red carpet debut as a couple.
The emotional post appeared to be a subtle but clear nod to Trudeau. It also suggested that Perry is focusing on happiness, healing, and personal growth.
Her new song Watch It Burn is partly inspired by her life after her split from Orlando Bloom last year. Perry recently said on Justin Tranterโs Unfamous podcast that love had changed her.
โI have love in my life now. Thatโs transformed me,โ she said.
The song also features My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. Perry said the track explores her darker emotions before moving toward hope and light.
Festival Set Cancelled Over Weather Concerns
Perryโs Instagram post came one day after she cancelled her performance at the Werchter Boutique music festival in Belgium.
The singer said the set was cancelled because of incoming bad weather and crowd safety concerns. She said the decision was government mandated.
Perry added that she was informed while preparing to take the stage. She apologized to fans and said she had been excited to return after 17 years.
She also revealed that she planned to wear the same outfit from her 2009 show.
Despite the cancellation, Perryโs latest post has kept fans focused on her music, her personal journey, and her growing bond with Trudeau.
