Katie Price has reportedly decided to end her eight-month marriage to Lee Andrews after an alleged discovery about his claimed cryptocurrency wealth, according to media reports.
The 48-year-old former glamour model married Andrews, a self-described businessman from Dubai, just days after meeting him. Their relationship has since attracted attention over allegations surrounding his finances and claims about his wealth.
Crypto Wealth Claims Questioned
According to The Sun, Andrews allegedly told Price that he had $50 million, or around £37 million, in a cryptocurrency account and promised to share some of the funds with her.
A source claimed Andrews provided Price with a recovery phrase that could be used to access the crypto wallet. However, when a financial expert reportedly checked the account on Monday, it allegedly contained only $3, equivalent to around £2.22.
The source further claimed that Andrews had never held the alleged $50 million. The report said the largest amount recorded in the wallet was $14,490, or approximately £10,720, in March, which was transferred out on the same day.
Price Reportedly Cuts Contact
Price is reportedly believed to have confronted Andrews over the alleged discrepancy. Her final WhatsApp message to him was said to question why he had allegedly misled her.
Andrews is currently reportedly back in a Dubai jail and is believed to be struggling to raise funds for his release. According to reports, Price has no plans to visit him.
Although Price was recently seen wearing her wedding ring at Manchester Pride, she was later photographed without it during a trip to Marbella with friends, including reality star Chloe Ferry.
The reports have not been independently verified, while the allegations concerning Andrews’ finances remain claims attributed to media sources.
