The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is reportedly part of a WhatsApp group with other parents as part of her efforts to ensure Prince George enjoys a relatively normal childhood, despite his future as King of the United Kingdom.
According to the recently aired Channel 5 documentary Prince George: How To Make a Monarch, the royal heir is being raised with a focus on providing him with grounded, everyday experiences.
Ailsa Anderson, former Press Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, revealed in the documentary that Kate uses the messaging app to stay connected with other parents.
“Apparently, Catherine has a WhatsApp group where she communicates with other parents, so it’s very much a normal upbringing,” Anderson said.
She added that both Prince William and Kate are dedicated to giving their children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — a childhood that includes interactions with people from ordinary backgrounds.
“William and Kate are making sure that George, Charlotte, and Louis have these normalising experiences, where they interact with regular people. This gives them that grounded sense that they are human beings like the rest of us,” Anderson remarked.
Prince George, 10, is second in line to the British throne after his grandfather King Charles III and father Prince William.
Despite their royal status, the Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly prioritized maintaining a down-to-earth environment for their children, blending royal duties with a sense of normality.
