KARACHI: Ayaan and Anabiya, siblings who had been missing from the North Nazimabad area of Karachi, have been located and enrolled in Ziauddin School.
Their absence from school began during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, with both children having only completed up to the first and second grades.
Ayaan and Anabiya left their residence in North Nazimabad due to discomfort caused by their aunt’s behavior. Acting on the initiative of Dr. Asim Hussain, Chairman of Dr. Ziauddin Hospital and a prominent figure in the Pakistan People’s Party, the siblings have been admitted to Ziauddin School in Karachi.
The educational expenses for Ayaan and Anabiya will be covered by the Ziauddin Trust, with Dr. Asim Hussain ensuring they receive free education from elementary to graduation levels.
Background: Ayaan, aged 11, and Anabiya, aged 12, were reported missing after leaving their home in North Nazimabad Block H around 11:50 pm last Tuesday to purchase a burger.

The incident is under investigation by the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of the central district, utilizing CCTV footage.
A case of missing children was filed at the North Nazimabad police station against unknown individuals.
Later, the mother, in a social media update from Dubai, expressed gratitude for the safe return of her children, stating, “Alhamdulillah, both kids have been found.”
She further disclosed, “Those who took them, dropped them at Hyderi.”
In their initial statement, the children alleged mistreatment by their aunt and maternal grandmother. They recounted spending a night at the home of an uncle and aunt who discovered them on the streets on Tuesday night.
