Polling for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections will take place across Karachi on Sunday, August 2. A total of 4,897 registered voters are expected to cast their ballots.
Election officials said polling arrangements have been completed in all seven districts. Authorities also finalized measures to ensure peaceful and orderly voting.
District East has the highest number of registered voters with 956. Meanwhile, District Malir has the lowest voter count at 170.
Polling Stations Set Up Across Seven Districts
District South has 567 registered voters and one polling station. District Central has 702 voters with five polling stations.
District West has 924 voters and two polling stations. Additionally, District East has four polling stations for its 956 registered voters.
District Korangi has 621 registered voters with two polling stations. Meanwhile, District Malir has four polling stations for 170 voters.
District Keamari has 260 registered voters and one polling station. Consequently, election officials expect voting to proceed smoothly across Karachi.
Authorities Complete Election Preparations
Election authorities said all logistical arrangements have been finalized before polling day. Officials also coordinated resources across every polling location.
The administration aims to ensure peaceful voting throughout the city. Therefore, security and election staff will remain deployed at all polling stations.
