Karachi police claimed to have arrested 10 suspected robbers during separate operations across the city over the past 24 hours. Six suspects sustained injuries during alleged encounters, while officers recovered weapons, cash, mobile phones and stolen motorcycles.
According to police, the first operation took place in Fakira Goth within the jurisdiction of the Site Super Highway police station. Officers arrested an injured suspect identified as Izzatullah and recovered a weapon and a motorcycle.
In another alleged encounter near Bukhari Road behind Sea View, Darakhshan police arrested Muhammad after an exchange of fire. Police also seized a 30-bore pistol, ammunition, cash, a mobile phone and a motorcycle.
Multiple Operations Conducted Across Karachi
Police carried out another operation near Khameesa Goth in the New Karachi Industrial Area. Consequently, officers arrested Farman, also known as Femo, in an injured condition.
Authorities recovered a pistol, cash, a mobile phone and a motorcycle from his possession.
Meanwhile, police arrested two suspects during an alleged encounter in the Aram Bagh area. One suspect sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital, while Abdul Majeed was taken into custody for further investigation.
Officers also recovered two 30-bore pistols, several mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle during the operation.
Police Recover Weapons And Stolen Motorcycles
In Gulshan-e-Maymar, police conducted another operation near the MD Cut on the Northern Bypass. During the alleged encounter, officers arrested Waqar after he sustained injuries, while Mudassir was also taken into custody.
However, a third suspect reportedly escaped from the scene. Police recovered two pistols, ammunition, cash and a motorcycle from the arrested suspects.
Authorities said investigations into all the cases are continuing. Furthermore, police are searching for the suspect who managed to flee during the Gulshan-e-Maymar operation.
