Police Say Suicide Scene Was Staged
Karachi police have claimed major progress in the Orangi Town groom murder case after a female police officer, identified as Dua, reportedly confessed to her role in the killing of her husband.
The victim, Hamza, was initially believed to have died by suicide. However, investigators now say the available evidence points toward murder. Police believe the crime scene was allegedly staged to make the death look like suicide.
According to police sources, the case took a major turn after the arrest of the female police officer. During interrogation, she allegedly disclosed details about the planning and execution of the murder.
The case has drawn public attention because of the complex personal history between the victim, the arrested officer and another suspect, identified as Fahad.
Police said Dua is currently in custody and is being questioned further. Investigators are also examining forensic evidence, statements and call records to strengthen the case.
Former Husband Named as Key Suspect
Following Dua’s arrest, police conducted a raid in Liaquatabad to arrest her former husband Fahad and another suspect. However, both suspects were not found at the location.
Officials said the apartment was locked and appeared abandoned when the police team arrived.
Investigators revealed that Fahad had allegedly argued with Hamza outside his residence a few days before the incident. During that confrontation, he reportedly issued death threats to the victim.
Police said Fahad and Hamza were once close friends. Hamza reportedly visited Fahad’s home frequently before personal relations between the people involved became strained.
According to investigators, Dua was first married to Fahad and has three children from that marriage. After disputes led to their separation, she later married Hamza.
However, police said tensions also developed in Dua’s second marriage, leading to frequent conflicts between the couple.
Raids Continue to Arrest Absconding Suspects
Police allege that after her relationship with Hamza deteriorated, Dua re-established contact with Fahad.
Investigators claim the two later planned Hamza’s murder and attempted to present it as suicide.
Authorities said efforts are underway to arrest Fahad and the other absconding suspect. Multiple raids are being carried out in different parts of Karachi.
Police officials said the investigation is still active and more details may emerge after the arrest of the remaining suspects.
The case has raised serious questions about domestic conflict, personal revenge and the misuse of trust within close relationships.
Investigators are now focused on locating the missing suspects and completing the legal process against those allegedly involved.
The Orangi Town case remains under close watch as police continue to gather evidence and pursue the suspects.
