Customs at Karachi Airport Seize Electronics Worth Rs. 3.4 Crore
Customs officers at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, stopped a family returning from Dubai. They seized a large number of expensive electronic items. The action followed a reliable tip-off.
Officers scanned the luggage of the four family members as soon as they arrived. The customs spokesperson listed the seized goods. Twenty iPhone 17 Pro Max units came first. Then twenty-seven iPhone 13 devices followed. Two iPhone 14 Pro models appeared next. Two iPhone 15 Pro Max units were recovered. Three iPhone 12 Pro Max phones turned up. Four Google Pixel 10 Pro handsets were found. Six MacBook Pro laptops came after that. Twenty-six ordinary laptops followed. Finally, two hundred sixty-seven Kindle Paperwhite e-readers made up the bulk of the consignment.
The total estimated value of everything stands at around Rs. 3.4 crore.
Therefore, authorities decided to register a case against two Karachi residents named Syed Anwar and Zarqa. The content of the case focuses on smuggling high-value electronics that skip customs duties and import rules. This kind of activity damages the national economy.
Moreover, customs officials stressed their firm resolve to enforce regulations at all entry points. They view constant vigilance as essential. The large seizure should discourage others from similar attempts. It also reinforces the need to follow proper import procedures.
The investigation moves forward. Officials continue collecting evidence. They plan additional legal steps against the family members involved.
