The owner of Kabul Jaan Restaurant was shot dead in Quetta on Sunday. Muhammad Hashim Noorzai employed more than 400 people at the popular restaurant. The deadly attack shocked residents and the local business community.
According to police, unidentified gunmen targeted Noorzai near Kuchlak Bypass. The incident occurred within the Airport police station’s jurisdiction. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Authorities launched an investigation to trace those responsible.
Government Orders Immediate Investigation
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti took immediate notice of the killing. He directed the Inspector General of Police to submit a detailed report. Additionally, authorities transferred the case to the Special Investigation Unit.
Officials said an SP-rank officer will lead the investigation team. The team will examine every aspect of the case. Authorities pledged a transparent, impartial, and swift inquiry into the incident.
Family Assured of Justice
Chief Minister Bugti expressed condolences to Noorzai’s family following the tragic incident. He assured relatives that authorities would arrest everyone involved. Furthermore, he promised the suspects would face justice under the law.
Meanwhile, Adviser to the Chief Minister Shahid Rind monitored the situation closely. He said Member Provincial Assembly Malik Naeem Bazai and the Deputy Commissioner Quetta met protesting family members. They remained in constant contact to address their concerns.
Shahid Rind described the killing as deeply tragic and strongly condemnable. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property. Therefore, officials vowed to continue efforts until those responsible face justice.
