Joe Jonas surprised a soon-to-be-married couple with a playful video message ahead of their wedding in New York.
The Jonas Brothers star appeared during Courtney Smith and Hamilton “Hammy” Morley’s welcome party, held one day before their wedding. Around 100 close friends and relatives had gathered at Gersi, the couple’s favorite Brooklyn restaurant, on June 4.
The celebration suddenly took an unexpected turn when two guests walked in carrying a television. The screen then showed Joe Jonas addressing the crowd with a dramatic wedding-style speech.
Jonas Shares Lighthearted Marriage Advice
Jonas opened his message by jokingly celebrating the union of Courtney and Hammy. He then added a fake record scratch moment and theatrically fell to his knees before continuing his speech.
The singer, who was previously married to Sophie Turner before their divorce was finalized in September 2024, then shared his marriage advice with the couple.
He said marriage is a lot like being in the Jonas Brothers. According to him, communication is everything. He joked that matching outfits eventually happen and creative differences may appear, but the couple should always return for the encore.
