Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan have reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their hit spy thriller Alias. Garner shared a nostalgic Instagram montage on September 30, featuring a sweet selfie with her former co-star and ex-boyfriend.
In the photo, Garner wraps an arm around Vartan, who appears relaxed in a chambray shirt, Mets cap and glasses.
Jennifer Garner Looks Back on Alias
Garner also reflected on the importance of the show in her career.
“They were my whole world, the cast and crew, and they still are,” she said in the montage’s voiceover.
She described the cast and crew as a close group that has remained connected throughout the past 25 years.
The reunion also included throwback-style photos with Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, Merrin Dungey and creator J.J. Abrams.
For Garner, Alias represented a major turning point. The actress said the series changed how audiences viewed her and even influenced how she carried herself.
“Alias was so far outside of anything I had done,” she said. “No one had thought of me for action. No one had thought of me for a tough role.”
She added that playing Sydney Bristow made her “walk differently” and remains something she is proud of.
Michael Vartan Stepped Away From Hollywood
Vartan has largely stayed away from major Hollywood projects in recent years. His last movie role came in 2017’s Small Town Crime. He later appeared as a guest on God Friended Me in 2018.
Meanwhile, his reunion with Garner has given Alias fans a nostalgic reminder of the series and its memorable cast.
Twenty-five years after its debut, the reunion shows that the bond between the Alias team continues.
