ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, security forces engaged in an exchange of fire in Balochistan’s district, resulting in the killing of at least five terrorists, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations.

In a statement, the military’s media wing reported that Major Syed Ali Raza, aged 31, and soldier Nisar Ahmed were martyred during a gun battle with terrorists.
Amid a recent surge in terrorist activities, security forces have been actively conducting operations across the country to maintain peace. The security operation, which was initiated based on a tip-off, involved the active surrounding of the area where the terrorists had taken refuge.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, “In a courageous operation in Zhob district, our security forces brought 5 terrorists to justice.
Real-life heroes, Major Syed Ali Raza Shah and Havaldar Nisar Ahmed, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their dedication reinforces our resolve to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan. We honor our brave soldiers!”
Last week, security forces killed at least two terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Zerber in the Kech district of Balochistan. The operation was conducted based on reports of terrorist presence.
“The ISPR reported the recovery of a substantial quantity of equipment and explosives. The terrorists who were killed had actively engaged in numerous terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies,” stated the ISPR.
He further added, “Security forces are actively conducting the sanitization of the area to eliminate any other terrorists who may be present. The commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to thwart the efforts of those seeking to disrupt peace in the country remains steadfast.”
