ISLAMABAD: The federal government has approved 1,934 new posts in Islamabad Police, opening fresh employment opportunities for job seekers across Pakistan. The decision is being viewed as a significant boost for youth employment in the public sector.
Strengthening Police Operations
According to official details, the new recruitment will primarily strengthen the Special Protection Unit and the Law and Order Division. These additions aim to improve security arrangements in the federal capital and enhance overall policing capacity.
Out of the total posts, 997 positions have been allocated for VIP security and the protection of sensitive installations. Meanwhile, 937 posts will support field operations focused on maintaining peace and public order.
In addition, the recruitment plan includes 1,580 Constables and 180 Head Constables. Authorities have also approved 24 Inspector posts to supervise field operations more effectively.
Further Inductions Approved
Moreover, the government has cleared 100 Assistant Sub-Inspector positions along with 50 Sub-Inspector posts. These officers will be directly inducted into the force to improve operational leadership at various levels.
Officials confirmed that all new positions will be funded through the existing budget of the Federal Police. This step ensures that the hiring process will not place any additional financial burden on the national exchequer.
Employment Boost for Youth
The development is being welcomed as a positive step for Pakistanโs youth, especially at a time when government job opportunities remain limited. The large-scale recruitment is expected to provide stable employment and strengthen the operational framework of Islamabad Police.
As a result, thousands of applicants are likely to compete for these positions in the upcoming hiring process.
