Thousands of people gathered at Islamabadโs New Blue Area on Sunday night to celebrate the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
Families, students, and young people waved national flags during the celebration. Meanwhile, fireworks illuminated the capitalโs skyline and created a festive atmosphere.
The Islamabad district administration and Capital Development Authority organized the event. Officials arranged the celebration to mark Fridayโs signing between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Tรผrkiye.
Leaders from the three countries signed the agreement in Makkah. Under the pact, an armed attack against one country will count as an attack against all three.
Flags And Fireworks Fill Islamabadโs Skyline
Buildings across the area displayed the flags of Pakistan, Tรผrkiye, and Saudi Arabia. Music played as crowds gathered throughout the evening.
As the celebrations continued, fireworks erupted above the capital. Thousands of people raised their mobile phones to capture the spectacular display.
Several attendees expressed strong support for closer ties among the three countries. Students described the agreement as an important development for the Muslim world.
Students Praise Stronger Regional Cooperation
O-level student Anaya said Pakistan would continue standing with Tรผrkiye and Saudi Arabia. She also described Saudi Arabia as a second home for Pakistanis.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Military Academy cadet Muzammil Amir called the agreement a major achievement. He said the pact would strengthen the position of all three countries.
Another student, Muhammad Ehtasham Amjad, highlighted Saudi Arabiaโs longstanding support for Pakistan. He said the Kingdom played an important role during Pakistanโs economic challenges.
Amjad also described the three countries as a strong combination. He highlighted Pakistanโs nuclear capability and Saudi Arabiaโs economic strength.
Meanwhile, attendee Mughal said the fireworks made the celebration more memorable. He described the occasion as a lasting memory for everyone present.
The event reflected public enthusiasm following the signing of the landmark defence agreement. Crowds continued celebrating as Islamabadโs skyline remained illuminated throughout the night.
