In addition, vehicles coming from Faisal Avenue towards Zero Point are being rerouted. They are required to shift onto Ninth Avenue to maintain traffic flow. Officials say these diversions are temporary but necessary.
Key Roads Closed and Heavy Traffic Restricted
One of the most significant changes involves the closure of the Islamabad Expressway. The stretch between Zero Point and Korala Chowk is shut in both directions. Authorities have not yet announced when it will reopen.
Heavy vehicles face strict restrictions during this period. Entry of large transport vehicles into Islamabad has been completely banned for two days. This measure is aimed at enhancing security and reducing traffic pressure.
