ISLAMABAD: A civil court in Islamabad has issued bailable arrest warrants for the Capital Development Authority chairman and the Islamabad commissioner over the alleged failure to fully implement a decree in a land acquisition case, 24NewsHD reported on Friday.
Civil Judge Naseeruddin issued the warrants after the court was informed that authorities had not completely implemented the decree in the case of Muhammad Rashid versus the CDA chairman.

He told the court that although the authority acquired the land, he had yet to receive benefits available to affected people under the CDA’s rehabilitation policy.
Furthermore, the petitioner argued that the authorities had failed to implement the decree completely despite the passage of more than two decades.
Barrister Hasnain Haider Thaheem represented Muhammad Rashid and requested the court to ensure effective and complete enforcement of the decree.

After hearing that the decree remained unimplemented, Civil Judge Naseeruddin issued bailable arrest warrants for the CDA chairman and Islamabad commissioner.
The court also directed the relevant authorities to take steps to implement its earlier directions.
